Calling all-natural skincare lovers!
I would like to formally introduce you to a new staple skincare line in my daily regimen (and you know if it goes into my regular regimen you know it is going to be good). Meet Navon Naturals, a line of vegan, healthy, all-natural skincare products developed by Sima Navon in Israel.
Israel has so many gorgeous natural beauty brands, and I was so excited to learn more about the latest in Navon Naturals. Her philosophy is, 'we are what we eat, and what we put inside our bodies and on to our skin is a reflection of how well we treat ourselves, and we deserve only the best for ourselves!' I couldn't agree more!
While I love a good natural product, I sometimes am turned off by the overpowering aromas of a few key essential oils and ingredients that they are oftentimes formulated with. But after meeting with Sima and hearing about her products and formulas I knew these weren’t just your average naturally produced products.
Sima creates her all-natural products with the belief that "using only the best of what nature has to offer will nourish the skin and allow the skin to glow naturally from good health.” When I asked how she comes up with her different product ideas, she said that each product is curated with a specific person in mind. This gives her the ability to craft and create products for all types of skin concerns or needs.
I first met Sima at a cafe where she treated me to a few of her allstar products. She handed them over in this beautiful earthy green bag and excitedly proposed that I apply a few of them right there in the cafe. The skincare junkie in me jumped for joy and happily obliged.
The first products I pulled out of the bag was the Bright Eyes Morning Eye serum and Light Eyes Restoring Eye serum duo. They come in these amazing bougie glass bottles, green for the morning, purple for the night, with a rolling ball applicator. Having them in my vanity makes me feel especially fancy, but it is upon their application that I truly feel like I am treating my eyes to the best ingredients.
The Light Eyes Restoring Eye Serum is designed to stimulate circulation, reduces excess fluid, minimize dark circles, and soften fine lines around the eyes. It is rich in cypress essential oil, that really helps calm the area and keep it hydrated all night long.
Upon developing this product, Sima had a friend who asked if she had any products that would work similar to this one but to also brighten and awaken her eyes for the day. So of course, Sima created her next product with this person in mind!
The Bright Eyes Morning Serum was made to reduce puffiness, dark circles, and brighten the whole eye area. It does so with the added ingredient of pure coffee blossom extract. So now, when I wake, I get coffee in my veins and coffee on my eyes - what could be better!?
A beautiful bonus to the packaging is that they are both applied with the metal rolling ball which cools and refreshes the area. I use both serums every single morning and night before my moisturizer and find that it really softens and helps the eye area feel calm or awake.
The next product I pulled out of the goodie bag was one of her newest releases: the 3-in-1 tinted Magic Stick under eye lightener.
This Tinted eye brightener incorporates cucumber oil to help reduce puffiness and dark circles, hemp oil (cannabis) and carrot oil to improve the health of the eyes themselves, and other rich and nourishing oils and butters to improve the elasticity of the skin which is beautiful and perfect for the delicate skin under our eyes. If you read one of my recent IG posts where I reviewed this product, I gave it my 2 thumbs up and more if I had! Similar to the serums, on application my under eyes looked so silky and sparkled, and it also sits beautifully under any more pigmented makeup concealer. I also loved knowing that the ingredients in this product were working in harmony to help reduce my dark circles and puffiness in the long run. I threw the little magic stick in my purse and its been with me ever since. It is so easy to tap on and go and truly makes the area under my eyes feel smooth alongside the serum. They come in a few shade ranges to fit a variety of skin tones.
After playing with the eye serums I moved on to her gorgeous and aptly named Lip Bomb.
Acting almost like a lip plumping gloss, her lippie is formulated with one of my favorite oils - marula oil - which helps to moisturize and heal the skin. The Bomb is due in part to added cinnamon and clove oils that increase circulation and give lips a juicy natural plump. I have perpetually pale lips, and so applying this on its own or before any gloss or lipstick gives my lips the most subtle and perfectly natural kissable effect.
One of the products I was most excited to try was her Acne Serum 3.0.
I use a lot of chemical exfoliants and strong acne-fighting ingredients to help with my hormonal bouts of acne. So incorporating a natural acne-fighting serum like this to help heal and combat blemishes is always something I am open to. I used this serum for a few nights after our first meeting. While I didn’t find that this serum helped to fight some of the deep cysts that were developing from my protective mask, it has actually done wonders in helping the aftermath of each spot to heal and fade within just days, and has helped fight off unwanted acne on my back and chest due to the sweaty summer heat. If you prefer to only use organic ingredients instead of chemical ones when dealing with light acne, this serum absolutely would do the trick. One of the main ingredients formulated within the lovely serum is clary sage which helps to balance hormones and reduce excess sebum production. Yes, yes, and yes please.
Moving on, the next item I reached for was the Visage Exfoliating Cleanser.
I’ll be honest (as I always am), I didn’t have such high expectations for this one. Natural cleansers formulated without emulsifiers are usually not my cup of tea. I’m a sucker for the suds and prefer to really feel my face wash bubble up and remove everything it needs to remove. It sounded lovely, but I didn’t think it was going to do much for my skin. I WAS SO WRONG. Upon completing a super sweaty workout one morning I decided to give Visage a try and poured a bit into my hand. I took a whiff of the scent and was blown away!! It has the lightest, gentlest, and most relaxing scent that I wanted to use all over my body! When I later met with Sima again in her studio and asked what her inspiration behind the scent and the formula of the product was, she told me it was all the ocean.
It made perfect sense. Any and every time we leave from a day at the beach, our skin and hair are almost always at their best! The ocean has incredible healing properties that repair and rejuvenate our skin - and that is what she put into this cleanser. She writes on her site that Visage is ‘formulated to emulate both the healing and energizing properties of the sea. The unique combination of therapeutic plants from the sea blended with healing plants from the earth synergize to form an exceptional product.’ Like I said, I was blown away by this cleanser.
Although it didn’t emulsify, it truly cleansed and sloughed away all my sweat and grime and left my skin feeling like the baby soft skin of a post ocean dip.
To take it one step further, she wanted to create a face mask that combines the benefits of all that the sea and Visage have to offer! I had the pleasure of trying her Seaweed face mask and once again, it is PHENOMENAL! The use of seaweed as an ingredient in skincare is extremely beneficial. It is full of humectants that draw in moisture from the environment, and added vitamin E. The amino acids in seaweed also promote plump skin, as well as draw out impurities and toxins. What I love most about this product is that it comes in as only the dry ingredients - meaning you make the mask on your own by adding Visage and mixing the two. This ensures that the mask stays chemical-free and without any preservatives.
After using this mask I found that my complexion was smooth and the next day the cysts on my chin were surfaced and no longer as painful. Since the ingredients in it are so clean and nourishing I know that I can use this mask regularly without overdrying or irritating my skin, but rather it will help clean and remove unwanted excess gunk.
Finally, her newest product that she treated me to is her Healing Foundation with SPF.
She had me try this on at her studio after cleansing with Visage and I literally felt and looked like I had just had an hour-long facial.
Like all her products, it is packed with skin-loving ingredients perfect for acne-prone skin to use in the sun. Interestingly enough, it also contains clay (most often found an ingredient found in a face mask!) which dries up the excess oil and sweat to prevent acne. It feels like a rich moisturizer combined with an SPF on the skin, but I love knowing that the ingredients are working in tandem to prevent further breakouts. I have been applying this on on days where I am running errands outside and have a mask on and want to protect my exposed skin and prevent the sweat that builds up from turning into a greater breakout.
Having these products in my regimen has made a huge difference in the appearance of my complexion and my skin’s ability to heal itself. Knowing that they are formulated with healthy and wholesome ingredients meant to nourish my skin from the outside in is just the icing on the most delicious cake.
